Our Mission

Incoming first-gen and/or low-income (FGLI) freshmen at Cornell have less access than non-FGLI peers to resources or tacit knowledge to successfully assimilate to college life. CUsoon’s mission is to ease the preparation and acclimation processes (both logistical and otherwise), first by matching incoming FGLI freshmen with upperclassmen FGLI mentors to help provide support, the tools, and a sense of empowerment and belonging to achieve their personal goals at Cornell.
